This article is another in a series of periodic articles I’ll write from the viewpoint of the independent project management consultant.  Of course, this angle differs quite a bit from the project manager who is part of a large organization, and perhaps even a PMO within that organization.  This article, and others that I write from this similar viewpoint, will be from the angle of the independent project manager coming in to run one or more projects or act as an incoming consultant for processes, practices, or one-off solution implementations.
