As discussed in part 1 of this series, many tools and forms of documentation are needed during the initiation phase of the project.  Of course, some are deemed ‘extras’ depending on the size or length of the project or the preferences of the customer who is paying for all the effort.  However, it is extremely important to spend the proper time – during the initiation phase of the project – planning and preparing documentation, estimates and forecasts that will help guide your project to a successful conclusion.
